What is POWER BI?

                        Power BI is a collection of software services, apps, and connectors that work together to turn your unrelated sources of data into coherent, visually immersive, and interactive insights. Your data may be an Excel spreadsheet, or a collection of cloud-based and on-premises hybrid data warehouses. Power BI lets you easily connect to your data sources, visualize and discover what's important, and share that with anyone or everyone you want.

History of Power BI.

• Power BI is a Microsoft’s product initially released on 11th July 2011.
• It was originally designed by Ron George in 2010 and the project was named crescent.
• Which was made available for download in 2011.
• It was later renamed POWER BI and then unveiled by microsoft in September 2013 as POWER BI for office 365.
• The first release of POWER BI was based on microsoft excel-based add ins : power query, power pivot and power view.

                    A Windows desktop application called Power BI Desktop.

Power BI Service :

                    An online SaaS (Software as a Service) service called the Power BI service.

Power BI Mobile APP :

                    Power BI mobile apps for Windows, iOS, and Android devices.

Power BI Desktop :

        Power bi desktop is a free application.

        Which you can install on your computer and which allows you to connect to your data, transform and visualize.

        Most user who work on the business intelligence project use power bi dekstop to create reports.

        Then use the power bi service to share their report with others.

Power BI Service :

                    Power BI is a collection of software services, apps, and connectors that work together to help you create, share, and consume business insights in the way that serves you and your business most effectively.  

                    The Microsoft Power BI service (app.powerbi.com), sometimes referred to as Power BI online, is the SaaS (Software as a Service) part of Power BI. In the Power BI service, dashboards help you keep a finger on the pulse of your business.  

                    Dashboards display tiles, which you can select to open reports for exploring further :   Dashboards and reports connect to datasets that bring all of the relevant data together in one place.

Power BI Mobile App :

                    With the help of power bi mobile users in mobile can see live dashboard and reports that speed up your information from time.
